Bojan Marković - new Vice Governor of NBS

The Council of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has appointed Bojan Marković as the Vice Governor, and he will take up his duties on October 1st.

Bojan Marković will be the third Vice Governor of NBS, while the first two are Ana Gligorijević and Mira Erić-Jović.

The new Vice Governor will take up the position that became vacant in July 2008 when former Vice Governor Diana Dragutinović became the Minister of Finance of Serbia.

Bojan Marković graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Economy in Belgrade, and he finished post-graduate studies in Great Britain.

He took PhD degree in 2005, at the University of Birmingham.

He worked as an assistant at the Law School in Belgrade in 1999, and at the University of Birmingham in the period 2000-2003.

Marković spent eight years working for the Bank of England, first as an adviser, and that as the Senior Economic Adviser.

He spent the last year at the position of the CEO in finance institution "Goldman Sachs" in London.
