- City of Belgrade will set aside 7m RSD for subsidizing employers who create new jobs, as well as for self-employment of unemployed people - the City Administration announced yesterday (August 6, 2009).
According to the announcement, the Secretariat of Economy has 4.5m RSD for employers and 2.5m RSD for self-employment of the unemployed.
The project will be implemented in association with the National Employment Agency.
- Subvention for self-employment is granted to an unemployed person in one-time amount of 150,000 RSD. It is necessary for the user to register his own business and stay in that business for minimum two years - the Deputy Secretary of Economy, Stanija Višekruna, told Beoinfo.
Ms. Višekruna said that granting of subventions would depend on the estimate of the business plan and category of the unemployed.
- Subvention for employers amounts to 50,000 RSD for every newly created job, and it is granted to the employers who have already gained that right in the National Employment Agency. We hope that it will be an additional stimulus for creation of new jobs - said Višekruna.
National Employment Agency will set aside 130,000 RSD this year for people who register their own business and find employment in that way, as well as 80,000 RSD for employers for every new job.
It is expected that the subventions for the unemployed and employers for creation and equipping of new jobs will result in employment of about 80 unemployed people from the territory of Belgrade.
