Beginning of larger trial production of punto in Kragujevac - 200 automobiles per day in September

Significantly larger trial production of automobiles has commenced in factory "Fiat automobili Srbija", based on which Italian experts concluded that up to 200 automobiles would be manufactured per day in September.

The Mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanović, said that he expected that "Fiat" would finally deliver business plan for company "Fiat automobili Srbije" to the authorized people in Serbia in September. Among the rest, the time of beginning, rate and volume of production of new model of automobile in Kragujevac will be specified in that business plan.

"Fiat" should also announce if it is going to manufacture the automobile of A class or B class in its company in Kragujevac at the end of 2010 or at the beginning of 2011.

People from the Management of "Zastava" say that 6,543 automobiles have been produced since the end of March (which is about 2,500 more than during the whole last year) and that about 900 models of that automobile would be produced in August in spite of the two-week collective vacation.
