EBRD approved loan of 150m EUR for "Corridor 10"

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved the loan of 150m EUR to Serbia for construction of highway section on "Corridor 10", from Niš to Dimitrovgrad.
According to the announcement, EBRD is going to finance construction of remaining 82 out of total of 90 km of highway E-80 that connects Niš, the third largest city in Serbia, with Dimitrovgrad, which is situated at the border with Bulgaria.
Total value of construction of the highway from Niš to Dimitrovgrad on "Corridor 10" is estimated at 795m EUR, and the loans for that project will also be provided by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
- Construction of Niš-Dimitrovgrad highway is a strategic project for Serbia and the region. That junction will bring much benefit to Serbia when it comes to trade and regional integrations in the Balkans - said Thomas Maier, the Manager of EBRD's business group for transportation.
