- Unlike the last few years when "Ship Theater" was sailing on the Danube and Vojvodina's canals during July and August and performed for inhabitants of the places rarely visited by theatrical groups, this year they will be able to watch the plays at the end of September - Ratko Radivojević, the creator of "Ship Theater" project, told "Danas".
This theater prepares the premiere of the new text by writer Đorđe Pisarev for this year. Based on the script written by Jovan Sterija Popović, Pisarev wrote play "Pokondireni Tikvan", which has been adapted for theater by Ratko Radivojević who also directs the play.
- Rehearsals in the Youth Theater have already started. Our ship is being reconstructed and that is the reason why this year's tour will start later than the last year. However, we are more than happy with the fact that the reconstructed ship is going to become the real new theater that will be open 365 days a year. We are, most probably, going on the tour at the end of September, and in case of bad weather, 80 people will be able to watch our plays because that is the number of seats we have in the protected area. In addition, we will now be able to organize other cultural events, such as exhibitions, projections, etc. - Radivojević points out.
Actors in play "Pokondireni tikvan" are: Milovan Filipović Era, Ninoslav Đorđević, Marija Mitrović, Miodrag Petronji, Ervin Hadžimurtović, Nataša Vranešević and others. The music for the play was composed by Nemanja Radivojević, scenery was designed by Nikola Džafo, while the costumes were made by Romana Knežević.
