Study for National Stadium to be prepared by May 10 – Looking for project designer, construction to start in mid-2020

The feasibility study for the construction of the National Football Stadium in Belgrade will be completed by May 10, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali announced and expressed hope that the construction would begin in mid-2020.

The government has already approved the tendering procedure for the selection of the project designer, and Mali says for Tanjug that the design might be completed by the end of the year.

– We plan to select the project designer in the next month or two. The detailed regulation plan for the entire area will be prepared simultaneously – Mali said.

He points out that the stadium will be built using the “City” concept, including an amusement park, a residential and business complex, an IT park and other features.

He said that such places attracted prominent companies, such as IKEA, Bauhaus and others.
