Mrkovi location on Lustica to be leased for 30 years – Parcel suitable for construction of tourist complex and side features

The tendering commission for the valorization of travel locations has invited investors to submit bids within the tendering for a long-term lease of the Mrkovi-Bijela Stijena location, on the Herceg Novi part of Lustica by June 24.

Eligible bidders are financially capable investors with experience in designing, building and operating large tourist complexes of mixed purpose, interested in a long-term lease for a period of at least 30 years.

This includes the construction and the management of the tourist complex and the side features, all in line with the Special Purpose Spatial Plan for the coastal area.

These are parcels of 138.57 thousand m2, 24.73 thousand m2 and 54.72 thousand m2, owned by Montenegro.

The requirements are for a bidder to be an internationally recognized brand-operator, with at least five hotel complexes of four or five stars, at least ten year of continuous experience in planning, developing and managing such facilities, profitable operations in the past two years and a total income of at least EUR 50 million in the past year, as well to manage a capital of at least EUR 80 million..

Each bidder must also submit a banking guarantee of EUR 30,000 in favor of the Council for Privatization and Capital Projects.
