The Central Bank of Montenegro has announced the invitation for collecting bids for special audit of operations of Prva Banka, which was earlier granted 44m EUR by Montenegrin Government to overcome the consequences of the economic crisis.
The deadline for submission of bids for audit is August 11, after which the decision about selection of the audit company that will examine the operations of Prva Banka, of which majority owner is the brother of Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović who also owns certain share in the bank, will be made.
According to the terms set by the Central Bank, the persons who were on the team that audited financial report of that bank in 2007 can not be members of the new audit team.
The audit can be carried out by foreigners as well.
Montenegrin Government announced earlier that Prva Banka had started to repay the loan that it had got from the Government.
