One field for football, handball, volleyball and basketball - first mini pitch field in New Belgrade

In the following period, the borough of New Belgrade will have the first sports mini pitch field built in this borough in association with the Ministry of Youth and Sport .

Such fields have fence and artificial grass, and they can be used for several different sports - football, handball, volleyball and basketball. This type of fields can be found everywhere in the countries of European Union, and the project is backed by UEFA and the Football Association of Serbia. The contract on construction of mini pitch field was signed yesterday (July 16, 2009) by the Minister of Youth and Sport, Snežana Samardžić-Marković, the Ambassador of Norway to Serbia, Hakon Blankenborg, the President of the Football Association of Serbia, Tomislav Karadžić, and the Head of the Administration of the borough of New Belgrade, Đorđe Popac.

The borough of New Belgrade applied for the funds based on the public invitation announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Football Association of Serbia within the scope of project "Construction of mini pitch field for youth" . Realization of the project started yesterday with the signing of the contract, so that the citizens of New Belgrade will soon obtain the first mini pitch field.
