Energoprojekt-Hidroinženjering examines influence of works on covering accumulation on exploitation of Hydroelectric Power Plant Đerdap I

Public company "Electric Power Company of Serbia" has started the design of the study on influence of the works on covering accumulation on the exploitation of Hydroelectric Power Plant Đerdap I, as well as the design of the long-term prognosis for covering works, and this job will be done by "Energoprojekt – Hidroinženjering” from New Belgrade.

The study should be the base for resolving numerous issues, such as: possible new regimes of exploitation of Hydroelectric Power Plant Đerdap I, resolving of the "Vis Major" issue in accordance with the Convention on exploitation and maintenance of hydro-energy and navigation systems of Hydroelectric Power Plant Đerdap I and Hydroelectric Power Plant Đerdap II (year 1998), analysis of influence of surface levels on the state of embankment and coast protection facilities, as well as review of necessary investments in improvement of the coast protection system.
