Border crossing Sremska Rača, between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the reconstruction of which 180m RSD has been invested, will be officially opened tomorrow (July 16, 2009).
Reconstruction of that crossing, which is mainly used for freight traffic, was financed by European Union and Serbia.
It has been announced that the crossing will be opened by the Minister of Finance, Diana Dragutinović, and the Adviser of European Commission in Serbia, Žak Stakenborg.
Before the reconstruction, the conditions at this crossing were bad because it had only one ramp and it was situated in the middle of Sremska Rača village.
Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are connected by an old railway bridge near that village, while a road bridge is being built in the vicinity.
