In 2019, the Republic of Serbia implemented a new program for interns as a form of support to employing new workforce, aiming to reduce the number of people leaving the country, Politika writes.

The budget of the National Employment Service of four billion is is higher this year by around 350 million, put into the new fund which was formed to secure the employment of educated young people as soon as they finish school.

The fund is meant for the unemployed with secondary and higher education, and Politika has learned at the National Employment Service that 1,130 citizens registered there will be included in the program.

The program can be realized only with employers in the private sector who pay their taxes regularly.
