Miomir Nikolić appointed as new CEO of "Zdravlje Actavis"

- New Director General of Leskovac-based pharmaceutical company "Zdravlje Actavis" is Miomir Nikolić, former Engineering Manager - people from that factory announced yesterday (July 9, 2009).

Nikolić said at the press conference that the aim of the management of "Zdravlje", which operates within Icelandic company "Actavis", was to increase both export of drugs to European Union and production from current 500m to 1.6 billion pills a year.

The managers of "Zdravlje" neither confirmed nor denied rumours about further reduction of the number of employees.

- There is, definitely, surplus manpower, and if the economic stability of the company is endangered, we will speak about when and how the number of workers will be cut - said Ana Mitrović-Vasić, the HR Manager of "Zdravlje".

When it was privatized at the beginning of year 2004, "Zdravlje" had 2,050 workers, while it now has only 680.

Previous Director General of "Zdravlje", Goran Stojilković, has been appointed as the CEO of "Actavis" factory in Great Britain.
