Commencement of works on infrastructural equipping of Technology Park in Vršac

The works on construction of public utility infrastructure in Technology Park commenced today (July 1st, 2009) in Industrial zone Vršac.

European Commission set aside 2.7m EUR and the municipality of Vršac invested about 600,000 EUR in creation of infrastructural conditions for future investors, about 50 of which have already announced their arrival.

Technology Park, which currently occupies the area of 10 ha, should be expanded to another 20 ha next year.

The industrial capacities that will employ about 1,000 people from the region of Vršac should be put in operation in four years.

The ceremony was attended by Žozep Ljoveras, the Head of the European Commission's delegation to Serbia, Bojan Pajtić, the President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, and Čedomir Živković, the Mayor of Vršac.
