Linglong to start building facility in Zrenjanin in late March

The construction of the Linglong Tire factory in Zrenjanin, recently announced by the Serbian president, should begin in late March.

This is the biggest Chinese investment in Serbia so far, worth close to a billion dollars. The Local Economic Development Office confirms that everything is ready for the realization of the investment. Local companies will be involved in the construction.

– The unofficial date of the laying of the foundation stone for the Linglong Tire factory is March 30. We are waiting for a confirmation by the investor. The city has done everything on its part to prepare for the arrival of this renowned company – explains the head of the Local Economic Development Office, Jovan Vukanovic.

The office confirms that all the necessary legal decisions have been made and that the city is ready for the opening of a construction site at the Industrial Zone Southeast.

Linglong Tire intends to produce 13.62 million radial tires in Zrenjanin each year. The company exports its products to over 180 countries and is one of the 20 biggest companies in its field in the world and one of the first five in China.
