Within the scope of the visit to New York where he took part in the UN conference on global economic and financial crisis, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mirko Cvetković, spoke to the officials of the largest US bank "Bank of America Merrill Lynch", which is also the largest creditor in the USA.
The highest representatives of bank Merrill Lynch - Dick McKormack, the Vice President, Scott Van Berg, the Manager of Energy Sector, and Micheal Harnett, the Manager of Strategic Research Sector - talked with Prime Minister Cvetković about three key topics: possible investments in energy sector, infrastructural development and financial credit arrangements.
The Vice President of the largest bank in the USA, Dick McKormack said that Merrill Lynch had long-term plans in Serbia because it was recognized as the leader in the region and, therefore, he expressed optimism concerning the future of the country.
