Software giant "Microsoft" announced that it was ready to present its own antivirus solution intended for end-users, which should become the match for the products of companies like "Symantec" or "McAfee".
The current codename of the free antivirus is "Morro" and it is tested by the employees in "Microsoft". The product should be completeley free of charge, and that is why it will provide only the most basic level of antivirus protection.
Because of the aforementioned reason, it will be difficult for "MS Morro" to compete with complex solutions, such as the ones made by "McAfee" or "Symantec", which offer protection of personal computers in series of segments. However, "Morro" should replace "Windows Live OneCare", a recent solution launched by "Microsoft", in the form of an online scanner, which has not been well-received by most clients.
According to the PR of "Microsoft", final version of "Morro" should be presented to the public by the end of this year
