Belgrade fair price will be determined after 22/06/2009

On 19/06/2009, Privatization Agency tender commission opened the only bid that arrived for purchase of Belgrade Fair of Consortium, Fair in Rimini and "Verano Group'. In the next seven days, privatization consultant 'Cesmecon' will establish whether all necessary documentation has been submitted, and during the next week the offered price will be known.

Privatization procedure implies that after the price is being made known and obligatory investments are being accepted, negotiations on social program should follow, and at the end of August, Belgrade Fair could have a new owner. The consortium is not willing to talk about the price offered for facilities of 106,241 square meters, including six fair halls with exhibition space of 53,221 square meters.

- If Fair in Rimini and 'Verano Group' become owners of Belgrade Fair, the first step will be reconstruction and enlargement of exhibition space. We haven't yet studied a detailed urban plan and we are analyzing which parts of the land that are included in the plan could really be used. We are planning a meeting with Dragan Đilas, Belgrade Mayor, but our intention is to stick to the detailed urban plans - Lorenzo Cagnoni, the President of Rimini Fair Board of Directors says.
