Geneticist Miodrag Stojkovic gets AmCham Hero award for excellence

At the General Assembly of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Serbia, held at the National Museum, the chamber traditionally handed out the annual AmCham Hero award. This year's winner is Miodrag Stojkovic, a world-renowned geneticist and the only Serbian scientist with the H60 index, which is given only to unique, globally recognized scientists. AmCham announced.

Representatives of AmCham had the task to pick one candidate among remarkable individuals, institutions and non-profit organizations, whose activities had made a great impact on the entire society.

– We hope that this year's laureate will be a role model for other scientists, especially young people, to seek and create excellence in Serbia – said the president of the Managing Board of AmCham, Jelena Pavlovic.

The results from 2018 were also presented at the General Assembly, and the member-companies elected new members of the Managing Board – secretary Biljana Bujic of KPMG and Dragan Lupsic of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia were elected for two-year terms at the Managing Board, AmCham said in the press release.
