Belgrade to get ten interactive tourist info panels

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic visited the stand of the Tourism Organization of Belgrade (TOB) at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade on Saturday, February 23. On this occasion, a new interactive panel with useful information about the tourist offer of Belgrade and recommendations for sightseeing tours, accommodation, restaurants and similar features was presented.

This year, Vesic announced, ten interactive panels will be installed in the most visited locations in Belgrade.

– In the next few days, they will be installed in four locations, namely, the Prokop station, the Belgrade Airport, Kneza Mihaila Street and Cvetni Trg, where the new TOB offices will also be located. The panels display information in four languages: Serbian, English, Chinese and Russian – Vesic said.

He said that the Tourism Fair kept improving and growing in the number of visitors each year. The number of overnight stays in Belgrade agreed at the fair is as many as 65 thousand, he said.

– Tourism is the fastest growing industry in the city. Last year, there were nearly two and a half million overnight stays, Belgrade earned around EUR 800 million, and the money went partially to the budget, whereas a part of it represents the earnings of hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. The increase of foreign tourists is nearly 70% – Vesic specified and said that the city would continue investing in tourism and increasing its tourist offer.
