- Serbian "Delta Holding" plans to register incomes worth 3.2 billion EUR in 2009, which is 30% more than in 2008 - the Vice President of "Delta", Milka Forcan, said today (June 11, 2009).

At the meeting of Serbian and French entrepreneurs in the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, she said that the incomes of "Delta" in 2008 had amounted to 2.4 billion EUR, but she did not reveal any information on the company's profit.

As "Delta" announced earlier, projected incomes for year 2009 initially amounted to 3.4 billion EUR. Following the emergence of the crisis, people in "Delta" estimated that the incomes were not going to be that high, but they also concluded that they would not be smaller than 3 billion EUR.

Presenting "Delta" to the representatives of French companies, Ms. Forcan said that one of the basic fields of work of "Delta" was retail trade, and she added that trade company "Delta maxi" had 445 stores, 330 of which were situated in Serbia and over 80 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Bulgaria.

As she explained, "Delta Maxi" group plans to expand its operations to Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania, Moldova and Belarus within the next five years.

Ms. Forcan said that "Delta" employed over 25,000 people in Serbia and that it was the largest private and the second largest company in the country.
