Company "Frigo Žika-Soko" opened new industrial unit in Ruma

Manufacturer of cooling and thermal appliances "Frigo Žika-Soko" opened a new production line yesterday (June 10, 2009) in Ruma, in which 84.2m RSD will be invested and 55 people will be employed.
The Executive Council of Vojvodina has set aside 30.7m RSD for the new unit in Ruma.
According to the announcement of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, the unit of company "Frigo Žika Soko" is situated in the industrial zone in Ruma, at the surface of about 2,000 square meters.
- Total of 55 new workers will be employed directly in the production sector in the new unit, while 35 people will be employed through various types of cooperation, which will provide better living for 90 families - said Bojan Pajtić, the President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina.
The owner of the factory, Živan Pejić, said that the new investment would create the opportunity for improvement of production, creation of new jobs and export of products to new markets, such as Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The Mayor of Ruma, Goran Vuković, said that such investments can reduce the number of unemployed people in Ruma, which currently amounts to about 5,500.
