EIB approved loan of 40m EUR to "UniCredit Leasing" for development of enterprises in Serbia

UniCredit Leasing Serbia announced that today (10th, June 2009), a Financial Loan Agreement for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the amount of € 40 million
has been signed with the European Investment Bank. The joint project of UniCredit Leasing Serbia and EIB will include long and mid-term loans for Serbian SMEs and will in that way provide significant support of their investments.

Beside loans for small and medium sized enterprises, public sector authorities in the fields of infrastructure and final beneficiaries of any size or ownership in the field of knowledge economy, energy, environment, industry, health, education, and services & tourism are eligible for financing.

- The partnership with the European Investment Bank is one further important step in supporting SMEs,which are mainly affected by the current difficult economic situation, in realizing their investment plans for the coming period “, said Joachim Ahrer, the CEO of UniCredit Leasing. “The financial advantage of the EIB loan will be passed on to all eligible projects and final beneficiaries through special products offered by UniCredit Leasing”, Ahrer added.
