Final phase of negotiations with World Bank on crediting of "Corridor 10"

This week, the representatives of the World Bank and the Government of Serbia will finish the talks regarding the contract on crediting of construction of three highway sections of "Corridor 10" - Grabovica-Grdelica, Vladičin Han-Donji Neredovac and Dimitrovgrad-Bulgarian border - worth 388m USD.

Following the end of the negotiations, all project-related documents will be sent to the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank for approval. It is expected that the Board members will make the decision about the project at its session in first half of July. After that, it is to be ratified by the Parliament of Serbia.

By the way, the state plans to have all the projects concerning construction of 110 km of highway finished by the end of the year, as well as major share of 100m EUR worth of expropriation works.

Works on three sections of "Corridor 10" are underway at the moment. One of them is in the south of Serbia, from Preševo to Levosoj, 21 km long, which should be finished prior to July 7th. Works on two sections of Horgoš - Novi Sad highway are also in progress. Expropriation works and preparations for realization of north part of the bypass from Dobanovci to Batajnica, of which value is about 115m RSD, are underway as well.
