Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and the British Minister of State for Transport Jesse Norman signed the Agreement on International Road Traffic between Serbia and Great Britain at the British Parliament on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

– This is an important day for Serbian transporters above all, as the agreement entails a full liberalization of road transport between the two states, as well as cargo transport without permits and licenses, which used to be an obstacle until now. We also discussed air transport and the bilateral agreement that will soon be prepared in this field – Mihajlovic said.

The British minister said that the agreement was a big step forward for both countries and the further international cooperation.

– I am very satisfied with this agreement, as it is important for both my country and Serbia. We are open to any kind of cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience when it comes to transport and infrastructural projects in this field – Norman said.

The agreement entails the liberalization of transport, considerably improving the position of Serbian transporters in international cargo transport.
