Tigar Tyres planning to produce over 20 million tires

With a showcase in the center of Pirot, Tigar Tyres, which operates under France's Michelin, presented its results and plans for the upcoming year for the first time. Visitors can see individual production phases and new tires for hilly terrains, as well as tires for all passenger, freight and semi-freight vehicles and old-timers.

– This year, we plan to produce 20.7 million tires, for passenger vehicles, semi-freight vehicles and two-wheelers, as well as 4.7 million inner tubes. Of this, we will produce around 13 million passenger tires alone – says Igor Zemit, the director of Tigar Tyres.

In the past five years, this is the first public presentation of the company, which paid nearly the highest salaries in Serbia in November 2018.

Tigar Tyres ended 2018 with around EUR 400 million worth of exports.

As part of the presentation, an exhibition of the visual art of the factory's 28 employees was organized at the Military Club.

Traditionally, the Michelin plant organizes a family day each year, including various workshops dealing with safety, traffic, first aid and similar topics.
