Ambassador of Germany visited Pirot - new investments in infrastructure

The Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Wolfram Mas, said yesterday (June 4, 2009) in Pirot that his country would keep investing in that municipality, primarily in energy sector, wastewater treatment and water supply system.

After the meeting with the Mayor of Pirot, Vladan Vasić, the Ambassador said that German humanitarian organization "Help" and development bank KfW would resume cooperation with the municipality of Pirot.

The Mayor of Pirot pointed to significance of cooperation with humanitarian organization "Help" in development of entrepreneurship.

KfW participates in reconstruction of hot water network in Pirot, and the negotiations about its participation in the water supply improvement project in that city are underway.

The Ambassador also visited footwear factory "Tigar", a share of which is owned by German Finance Organization (DEG).
