Bank of Moscow Belgrade opened its first office in Serbia today (June 3, 2009).
The branch office is situated in Belgrade, in Balkanska Street, and the bank's plans are to open new offices in Novi Sad and Niš by the end of the year.
The Bank of Moscow is the 35th bank in Serbia that provides both business and retail services. It is majority owned by foreign owner, and its founder is Russian Bank of Moscow, one of the three largest banks in the country.
The Director of the Retail Sector, Miodrag Dilparić, said that the aim of the bank was to become distinguished in local market for top quality of services.
He added that the Bank of Moscow would be competitive in all types of operations, especially in approval of Dinar loans to citizens.
In the new space, the clients of the bank will be able to use the services of checking account management, saving management and management of payment operations.
The Bank of Moscow obtained the license for work from the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) in June 2008. That was the first Russian bank in the region and the first greenfield investment in the banking sector of Serbia over the last seven years.
The bank currently has 45 employees.
