Agrobanka expects 1.45 billion RSD worth of profit in 2009

Agrobanka plans to end this year with the profit of 1.45 billion RSD, which is about three times more than in 2008 when the profit amounted to 516m RSD - Dušan Antonić, the President of the Executive Board of the bank, said today (June 2nd, 2009).

He said at the annual Assembly of stockholders of Agrobanka that the projected profit in 2009 amounted to 14.4m EUR, while the profit in 2008 had amounted to 5.8m EUR.

Antonić said that the savings in Agrobanka had been increased by 14m EUR in the first five months of year 2009, and that they had reached the value of 164m EUR.

- The plan is that the capital of Agrobanka be increased from 15.2 to 16.2 billion RSD in 2009 thanks to registered profit and increase in price of stocks - said he.

The CEO of Agrobanka also said that the net incomes from interests were expected to grow to over 3 billion RSD in 2009, while those incomes had amounted to 2.7 billion RSD in 2008.

Antonić said that total deposits should be increased by 5 billion RSD and reach 28.2 billion RSD in 2009.

According to the data provided by Agrobanka, total balance of the bank at the end of year 2008 amounted to 39.5 billion RSD, and it reached the amount of 45.6 billion RSD at the end of April 2009, while overall deposits of the bank during the first four months of the year grew by 4.7 billion RSD, reaching 27.9 billion RSD.
