The City of Sabac is continuing equipping the Northwest Work Zone with infrastructure, which will considerably improve the business environment and open new development opportunities.

The total value of the new project, which entails the construction of a water supply system, a sewerage and a traffic route, is EUR 870,445, of which EUR 710,360 has been provided through the EU Pro development program, whereas the city participates with EUR 160,085, Politika writes.

Thanks to this project in the Northwest Work Zone, the water supply and fecal sewerage system will be set up in the Zapadna Transverzala Street in the length of 200 meters and in Nova 25 and Nova 27 streets in the length of around 600 meters. The latter two will also get rain water sewerage of 390 meters. Nova 7 Street will get a traffic route of 905 meters, a water supply system of around 1,300 meters and a fecal sewerage of around 690 meters.

The Northwest Work Zone takes up 600 hectares, making it the biggest industrial complex in Serbia, and the city has sold 150 hectares to investors so far. Over 60 companies operate in the zone, among which are Japanese Yazaki, Italian Vescovini, Vopahel, Pasubio, German Palco and Austrian Mondi.
