Conference on microfinance in Belgrade

The 12th international conference on microfinance was opened yesterday (May 25, 2009) in Belgrade. It will be attended by over 450 experts, bankers and investors from about 30 countries.

At this three-day meeting, of which organizer is the Microfinance Centre from Poland, the main theme is the global economic crisis as a threat or an opportunity for microfinancing.

As it was announced at the opening, the participants will exchange opinions and experiences concerning, among the rest, the problems of solvency, various sources of finance, promotion of responsible finance, as well as microfinancing opportunities offered by the crisis.
