Tender for 4 hydroelectric power plants on the Morača to be announced in summer


Montenegrin Government will announce the tender for construction of four hydroelectric power plants on the Morača this summer.
The announcement of the tender is related to additional capitalization of the Electric Power Company of Montenegro, which is expected to be finished in two months at the latest.
Preparation of the dossier for announcement of the tender is in its final phase.
According to the plan, four hydroelectric power plants on the Morača will be producing about 700 GWh of electric power per year, while their construction should cost about 430m EUR.
The biggest of them will be Andrijevo, with the dam 150 meters high and artificial lake whose length will exceed 12 kilometers.
According to the plan, the hydroelectric power plants on the Morača should be finished in six years.
