The sale by auction of a plot of land to the German company Witzenmann for the construction of a facility which should employ 350 workers, according to the company’s director, Michael Scheib, should take place in Kula by the end of January.

This was agreed at a meeting organized in late 2018. The working meeting involved the president of the Temporary Authority of the municipality, Velibor Milojicic, and representatives of Witzenmann, and the company expressed an intention to buy six hectares of land for the production of flexible elements for the car industry in the industrial zone in Kula. The meeting was attended by representatives of all the companies that would take part in the infrastructural equipping of this plot of land.

– The decision on the sale of the parcel is expected to be reached in mid-February, following which Witzenmann will be registered as the owner and be formally eligible for a building permit – Milojicic announced.

According to him, the deadline for the German company to commence its operations is March 2020.

Witzenmann is present in 19 countries. Scheib said that the employees in other countries were satisfied with their working conditions and salaries and expressed hope that the employees in Kula would be similarly motivated.
