Concessions for construction of HPPs Foca and Paunci on the Drina soon – Investments estimated at BAM 479.2 million

The Government of Republika Srpska reached the decision on the defining of the conditions for the awarding of the concession through a negotiation procedure for the construction and exploitation of HPP Foca on the Drina river. The concession will be awarded in a negotiation procedure, based on the offer of Elektroprivreda RS, the government announced.

HPP Foca should have an installed power of 44.15 MW, and the estimated annual production is 175 GWh.

The total value of the investment for the realization of this concession, according to the feasibility study, is BAM 232,743,770 (around EUR 116 million).

The Government of Republika Srpska also reached the decision on the defining of the conditions for the awarding of the concession through a negotiation procedure for the construction and exploitation of HPP Paunci, also on the Drina, downstream from HPP Foca. The construction is estimated at BAM 246,434,580 (EUR 122 million).
