Company "Vahali Service&Marine" launched ship structure of 750 tons


Dutch shipbuilding company "Vahali
Service&Marine" launched the structure of a river ship of 750 tons, which was manufactured in the Belgrade-based shipyard, today (May 19, 2009) in Belgrade.
The President and the General Manager of "Vahali Group", Vincent Bekker, pointed out that the structure of passenger ship "MPS Vista Prima" would be transported to Netherlands on Thursday, May 21st, and that the ship would be ready for navigation within the next eight months.
- The ship is intended for luxury cruises from Amsterdam to the Black Sea - said Bekker.
"Vista prima" is the ship for river navigation. It is 110 meters long, it has 145 beds in 62 cabins, and it is made for the needs of tourist company "Scylla Tours".
According to the information provided by "Vahali", the value of the ship will amount to 16m EUR after the final works, and the value of the works that were carried out in Serbia was not revealed.
The Manager of "Vahali Service&Marine", Kristina Anđelković, pointed out that 140 workers had been engaged in construction of the ship structure.
Vahali Shipyard signed the Agreement on cooperation with the owner of the Belgrade Shipyard - Cargo Logistic Center - in 2005, and it started building ships in Belgrade in 2006.
