No plan for road toll increase in 2019

There are no plans for a road toll increase in 2019, stated Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic. She told Tanjug that the PE Roads of Serbia had not made requests to that end up till then.

– We even plan to stop charging the road toll for a period of time once we open new highway sections next year, namely, around 100 km on Corridor 11 and on Corridor 10, and then to later start charging the same amounts as before – Mihajlovic.

She reminds that the same thing was done when the 40-km Ljig-Preljina highway on Corridor 11 opened for traffic.

The latest road toll increase in Serbia took place on January 7, 2017, when it was raised by 10%.

For example, the toll on the road from Belgrade to Nis went up from 730 to 800 dinars for cars.
