Austrian Airlines sponsoring the Conference on Youth Mobility in Belgrade

The Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the national EURO<26 organization had organized the Conference on Youth Mobility in Belgrade from May 8th to 10th, 2009.
During the Conference, special accent was given to the Council of Europe’s Partial Agreement on European youth card EURO<26, but the participants were also informed about the Partial Agreement North-South Center (some discussions about the connecting the actions of these two agreements were also conducted).
The Conference gathered 45 participants: representatives of the Council of Europe, representatives of the national administrations, representatives of EYCA-European Youth Card Association, regional youth office coordinators and representatives of Ministry of Youth and Sport as well as local and regional youth organizations.
Official opening ceremony involved Snežana Samardžić Marković, minister of youth and sport, Tina Mulcahy, director of the European Youth Center in Strasbourg, Miloš Milenković, president of the youth organization EURO<26 and Aleksandra Sanader, Assistant Director of the Republic Institute for Sport.
Aim of the Conference was to promote significance of youth mobility issue and to discuss on modalities and instruments for improving mobility, but also creating firm European/regional and institutional relations between different stakeholders relevant for youth mobility issue. The conference had also raised the issue of improving visibility and efficiency of youth card EURO<26 and the work were conducted through the presentations, plenary discussions and workshops in small groups.
