Export of 17m EUR worth of seeds - Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops registered largest export in its history

- The Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad registered the largest export in its history last year, in amount of 17m EUR, by selling seeds goods in foreign markets - said Petar Sekulić, the CEO of the Institute.

He said that the Institute would keep the leading position in corn seeds sales in 2009, while the export of sunflowers was mildly increased. He also pointed to growth of export of soybean seeds.

- We registered historical maximum in 2008 because we were responsible for export worth 17m EUR. Export has dropped this year because we've reduced export to Ukraine, but we believe that we will manage to register export worth between 12 and 14m EUR by the end of the year – said Sekulić.

According to his words, investments in young scientists are very important for achievement of good business results, and that is why the Institute has announced open competition for employment of 15 trainees.
