Brauerei Group from Belgrade potential purchaser of Valjevska Pivara?

Only one bid was sent for the purchase of Valjevska Pivara during the second public call, opened by the Ministry of Economy a month ago. As Kolubarske.rs learns unofficially, the bid was sent by Brauerei Group Beograd – Stari Grad.

According to the Business Registers Agency, the primary activity of this business entity, founded on December 6, 2018, is beer production.

The founders are Zivojin Jovanovic, Miloje Blizanjac and Zoran Kostic. The capital contribution is RSD 30,000, and each member owns a third of the company.

According to unofficial information, Kolubarske.rs writes, the commission opened the sole bid on Tuesday, December 18, and determined that it met the formal requirements. In a few days, after a detailed examination of the documentation, the envelope with the monetary offer for the capital of Valjevska Pivara should be opened as well.

Let us remind that the Ministry of Economy opened the first public call on September 6, with the initial price at EUR 7,047,260. As no bids had been sent, the second public call opened on November 19, with the initial price at EUR 3,523,630, a half of the estimated value of the capital.

According to unofficial information, Kolubarske.rs reports, unlike the first public call, when the purchaser was supposed to be bound by contract to invest at least EUR 10 million in the brewery over the next two years, the obligation has now been halved to EUR 5 million.

Valjevo’s oldest collective currently has around 200 and operates successfully. After an unsuccessful privatization from 15 years ago and the avoided liquidation from six years ago, Valjevska Pivara is now increasing its production and profit and penetrating new markets in the region, but also the markets of the USA and Canada.
