"Tarkett" intends to take over 35.7% of stocks of "Sintelon"


Company "Tarkett" from Bačka Palanka announced today (May 11, 2009) that it intended to take over 35.7% of stocks of Bačka Palanka-based factory of floor covers "Sintelon".
According to the ad published in newspaper "Politika", the offer for takeover and the price at which "Tarkett" intends to take over total of 520,860 stocks of "Sintelona" will be published as soon as the Securities Commission gives its consent.
According to the data provided by the Central Securities Registry, "Tarkett" from Bačka Palanka does not own stocks of "Sintelon" at the moment, while the co-owner of that company, French "Tarkett", owns 938,744 stocks, that is, 64.3% of stock capital of "Sintelon".
The co-owners of company "Tarkett" from Bačka Palanka, with 50% of stocks in their possession, are "Sintelon" and "Tarkett France".
According to the data from the Belgrade Stock Exchange, the price of stocks of "Sintelon" amounted to 14,000 RSD per stock on May 8th, which is 1,000 RSD lower price than this year’s highest and the highest price of stocks ever.
"Sintelon" registered 1.07 billion RSD worth of profit in 2008, which nearly twice as much as in 2007.
