"Simpo" sofa beds in "Ikea" stores in Russia – realization of contract to start in June

- Vranje-based furniture manufacturer "Simpo" and Swedish "Ikea" have signed the contract worth 5.5m EUR on export of Simpo’s furniture to Russian market – said Ljubomir Ilkić, the Deputy Director General of "Simpo".

Ilkić told Beta agency that, thanks to aforementioned contract, Simpo’s sofa beds would be included in the offer of “Ikea” stores in Russia, in Moscow and Sankt Petersburgh.

Sofa beds will be manufactured in "Simpo" units, while realization of the contract, which should start in June, will be finished by the end of the year – said Ilkić.

According to Ilkić’s words, signing of new contracts that will include other types of furniture is in the pipeline.

- Ikea will be one of the strategic partners of Simpo in privatization process, and we find it very important to sign a series of long-term contracts with such partner for export of various products – said he.
