"Putevi" Užice and Road Company (PZP) "Beograd" to build two sections of "Corridor 10"

The winners on the tender for construction of northern branch of "Corridor 10” are two local companies: Road Company "Beograd" and "Putevi" from Užice. The former will be building ten kilometers of road between Horgoš and Novi Sad, while the latter is in charge of construction of section of the same length between Novi Sad and Subotica. Milan Bojović, the CEO of "Putevi" from Užice, told "Politika" that, but he did not want to reveal the price of construction of those 20 kilometers of left highway lanes.
Although the prices that have been mentioned over the last couple of days range between 700,000 and 800,000 EUR per kilometer, Bojović explicitly said that the offer was business secret. According to some earlier information, about 20m EUR is set aside from the budget for that purpose, while total of 15 local and foreign companies competed for the right to build the roads.
By the way, the concessionaire for construction of Horgoš–Požega highway, Austrian consortium "Alpine-Porr" estimated that 1 km of highway through Vojvodina, as well as on the section between Obrenovac and Ub, cost about 2m EUR. But when the Government of Serbia decided to break the contract and announce the tender for completion of Horgoš–Novi Sad highway, expert estimated that 1 km of road can not cost more than 1m EUR.
The contract will be signed today in the Government of Serbia, while the works should commence on Sunday, May 10th.
