"Telenor" registered 80.6m EUR worth of incomes in first quarter of year 2009

Company "Telenor" announced that it had registered 7.55 billion RSD (80.62m EUR) worth of incomes in the first quarter of year 2009.

That is 4% more than in the same period last year, and it is explained in the announcement that the incomes from new postpaid subscribers and data transfer contributed the most to the growth.

Realized EBITDA (profit before interest, income tax and depreciation and amortization costs are deduced) grew by 10% in local currency as a result of reduced costs of sales and marketing, as well as consulting services. Capital investments were reduced as the result of smaller investments in the network in the first quarter.

The number of users of "Telenor" network in Serbia who were continuously generated incomes during the first three months of the year amounts to 2.8m, and it grew by 19,000 in that quarter.
