Negotiations with potential buyer of Subotica-based factory "Bratstvo" to start tomorrow

- Potential buyer of Subotica-based railway car factory "Bratstvo" will be negotiating tomorrow (May 5, 2009) with the owner and creditors about the terms of takeover of the factory - the Mayor of Subotica, Saša Vučinić, announced today.

He did not want to reveal the name of the potential buyer of "Bratstvo" to the press.

- I can only say that he is the man from the branch that is on good terms with the workers, that is, he is not a financial broker. I have also offered to mediate in the talks with the tax organs - said Vučinić.

He estimated that the intention of the potential buyer of "Bratstvo" was serious and that it may help the company avoid bankruptcy.

About 350 workers of "Bratstvo" went on strike in mid-February because they had not received certain number of salaries, and they pressed charges against the owner, Vladimir Delić, because of the financial malversations.
