"Telenor eShop" won "E-Commerce Award 2009"

Company "Telenor" has won "E-Commerce Award 2009" for the online shop project (Telenor eShop). This award is granted for the contribution to the development of electronic commerce and business in Serbia, within the scope of the international conference on electronic commerce and electronic business “E-trgovina 2009” (E-Commerce 2009). This year, the conference took place between April 22 and 24 on Palić.

"Telenor" is the first mobile operator and one of the first companies in Serbia to enable online shopping to its users, with the domestic processor of debit cards. The aims of the “online" shop, which was launched shortly after Telenor’s arrival in Serbian market, was to make the shopping easier for the users, to save them some time, and to make Telenor’s service available at any time.

Conference "E-trgovina" is the largest meeting of the kind in Serbia. It is dedicated to the history of creation and development of local and regional (Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Romania, etc.) e-commerce and e-business market and popularization of electronic business in Serbia and SEE.
