UEFA granted 2m EUR for “House of Football” in Stara Pazova

The Union of European Football Association (UEFA) approved of the donation of 2m EUR yesterday (April 23, 2009) for construction of “House of Football” in Stara Pazova.

The people from the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) announced that those funds would be at their disposal in one week. The meeting of the UEFA’s commission for realization of hat-trick programme, which was held in Nion, was attended by the Secretary General of FSS, Zoran Laković, who presented the project for construction of Serbian “House of Football” to the officials of UEFA, among whom were President Michel Platini and Secretary General David Tailor.

- We received much praise and all the present were delighted with our results. What followed was the unanimous decision about the donation of 2m EUR, and FSS is going to have these funds at its disposal already in one week – said Laković.

The Secretary General of FSS also announced that that organization would try to ask the Federation International of Football Association (FIFA) for help.

- We learned earlier that FIFA had taken our project in consideration, and we expect them to donate the funds to us in the near future – said Laković.
