Raspberry producers announce new protests

Associations of raspberry producers today made a statement on the occasion of the breakup of the Raspberry Task Force, the Ozonpress portal announced.

As said, the biggest experts, but also some producers, withdrew from the Task Force, as they “believe that this is a way for the state to buy time and stop the protests of raspberry producers and that the state never really intended to regulate this field and protect a strategic product of Serbia which supports villages in Western Serbia”.

In the letter send to the president, the prime minister and the minister of agriculture, the producers accuse “the Serbian Progressive Party of betraying producers by making false promises in order to secure votes”, adding that “individuals in power, who sell out state land, profit from producers' misery”.
