The 35th International Building Expo, which will gather about 1,100 exhibitors from 31 countries, was opened today (April 22, 2009) at the Belgrade Trade Fair.
The Minister of Infrastructure of Serbia, Milutin Mrkonjić, opened the expo and pointed out on that occasion that the size of that manifestation was the proof that Serbia was, once again, a large building site.
Mrkonjić and the Ambassador of China to Serbia, Wei Jinghua, opened the national exhibition of Chinese region of Venžu, which gathered 30 companies from that domain.
The Building Expo is organized in eight halls and at complete outdoor space, that is, at 60,000 square meters, while the national exhibitions will be held by Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Greece and Turkey.
The expo will be open between 10 AM and 7 PM, except on the last day when the doors will be closed at 5 PM. The price of the ticket is 500 RSD, the ticket for group visits costs 350 RSD per person, while the price of the ticket for all days of the expo amounts to 900 RSD.
Parking on the grounds of the trade fair will not be possible because of the large number of exhibitors outdoors. Free parking is enabled on Ada Ciganlija, and buses will be transporting visitors from Ada to the trade fair for free.
