Extension of deadline for purchase of tender dossier for Kruševac-based "Župa"

- The deadline for procurement of the dossier on the tender for sale of Chemical industry "Župa" has been extended until May 15th because nobody has purchased the dossier to the date – people from that company said today (April 21st, 2009).

The Director General of "Župa", Miroljub Milojević, said that the tender for sale of that factory had been announced earlier, although he insisted that it should not be announced before May.

- I was of the opinion that there are no seriously interested buyers at the moment, which proved to be correct, and that the conditions for sale of the company would be improved until May – he said.

Milojević said that the factory had had no gas for over a year and that the electricity consumption had been limited for four months.

- There is no money for procurement of raw materials, we can not collect 2m EUR worth of debts from Mining-Smelter Basin "Bor", and we are waiting for the Ministry of Economy of Serbia to answer our request for the loan of 200m RSD for three months – he said.

Milojević added that about 100 people were working in the factory at the moment and that all 560 employees were coming to work because they had been on the maximum paid leave of 45 days prior to April 1st.

Milojević said that the company was trying to go through all the formalities in order to be able to rent the Administrative building, mortgaged by Agrobanka, to the Customs.

The deadline for submission of requests for procurement of the dossier expired on April 16th, and the Privatization Agency of Serbia announced on that day that the deadline was extended until May 15th.

At the same time, the deadline for submission of final obligatory bids was extended until June 5th.

The Privatization Agency announced the tender for sale of 446,188 stocks, that is, 70.34% of capital of "Župa" on February 23rd.
