DINKIĆ: Serbia negotiations with Russia and China about loans

The Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said today (April 13th, 2009) that the Government of Serbia was in the middle of the negotiations with Russian and Chinese governments about investment loans.

Dinkić said to the press after the meeting with the representatives of banks and export companies that the negotiations with the Chinese concerned the loan for construction of Zemun-Borča bridge according to "turn key" principle, and that the value of that project was about 200m EUR.

As he explained, if the negotiations end in success, the construction may commence next year.

- The Government of Serbia is negotiating with Russians about the loans for construction of subway and for support to the budget of Serbia - said Dinkić, but he could not specify the amount of the loans.

Dinkić said that the delegation of the Government of Serbia would travel to Moscow to negotiate about that loan, but he did not specify when.
